I have 3 German shepherd girls, for those who know them they are pretty noisy. They bark at every dog that walks by. I feared for my neighbors so I bought 3 collars, each for my girls.

I read the instructions given and I set the collars. I wanted to do a little experiment so I altered the sensitivity of around 20% and left the collars at ‘tone only’. When the dogs barked, the collars worked perfectly and produced the warning tones. Unfortunately, this had little effect on the dogs; they continued barking.

To solve this, I set the collars to ‘low shock’.

Dog #1—within one hour, had figured out the system and had stopped barking. I removed the collar and she no longer barks.
Dog#2—she used to be the loudest. Even when I put the collar on, she kept on barking even with the mild shocks. I adjusted the shock to a higher level. This wore her down and within a few days, barking had decreased. She now wears the collar only in the evenings and the shock is always on a lower level. Although, she continues to bark up to now, barking has decreased by 60%.
Dog #3—she has already figured out the system and has reduced barking by 80%. She loves to play around with the system so she constantly tests the collar by barking silently then increases the barking until she is shocked. Most of the times I place the collar on ‘tone only’ and it works just fine.

I would say that I am completely satisfied with the collars. The dogs were almost running out of control. The prime success is that they now only bark when they see another dog. When the dog is out of sight, they stop barking—no more fake alarms.

Do#1 and #3 wear the collars when needed, but dog #2 wears it every evening—she is still noisy.

Overall, the collars are excellent and they are not expensive.
